PRODUCTS

Discovery has been creating high quality and inexpensive software for the oil and gas industry since 1980. Our software design team is comprised of active petroleum geologists. It is designed for our own use first, then enhanced for the commercial market. This means that our products are truly productive workhorses, with the "glitz and special effects" added later, instead of the other way around (like so many of the products on the market today). Because we are active explorationists, we don't have to guess what you want, we already need what you want, and figure out solutions to incorporate into our software!

Now being migrated to the MySQL GIS engine are modules for mapping, wellbore steering, mudlogs, cross sections, economics and decline curve analyses, project planning, land and lease management and others. Not only are the tools robust, but we believe you'll find them to be very user friendly as well.

Our target markets embody those currently largely controlled by Geographix, IHS (Petra), etc. We will also be attacking the Aries and OGRE markets, since reserves and economics should be so closely tied with geology, land, etc. Although we don't currently have the commercial versions of these products sufficiently completed to put online here, you'll find that we are gearing up to do so, and are always open to product suggestions. Pricing will be extremely competetive. We believe in the gnu (new) world, where software shouldn't cost more than the machine on which it is running, and maintenance and .bug fixes. are our responsibility, not yours!
